How do I work out my monthly wages after tax? Is there a wage calculator somewhere. I haven't received my monthly wage yet as I only started a few weeks back but I need to know how much will be paid into my account monthly. I need to work out the exact figure as I'm trying to put a budgeting plan together.

Would it be the state they live in or work in most of the time or would it be the state they temporarily worked in. For instance, Texas law doesn't pay any double time, where as California laws do. So if a employee comes from Texas and works in California for maybe a two or three week period, does the employer have to pay the out of state worker California wages or Texas wages?
Now I have heard that it isn't a law that the worker be paid California wages UNLESS it is in a contract stating California wages apply. But then many people say it IS California law that the out of state worker be paid California wages. So what the hell is really going on? ? ? ?
Confused as a California Employer. . .

I don't make tips, so I don't get what could cause the difference in the regular wages reported and the others (Social Security, Medicare, and Local Wages)? Thanks in advance!

Also, how about social security, IRA and 401-K accounts as to garnishment or seizure? Is there some maximum percentage of wages they can take?
Thanks
